In 1903 plans were made to make this line. Objections of another capital (cap.12, Mechelen - Westerlo - Geel - Turnhout) were made, but at last in 1906 consession was given.
Finance: 840.000 (state: 420.000, province Brabant: 51.000, province Antwerpen: 212.000, local communities: 157.000). It came out that the expenses to create the line were higher, so more capital was needed to build the line.
