Capitel 138: Diest - Koersel

In 1898 plans came to make a tram line from Diest to Beringen. This new line should be combined with the already existing line Hasselt-Leopoldsburg (cap.88). This plan did not succeed. A new plan came to combine the line with the capitel of the line Leuven-Diest (cap.58), but this was also cancelled. In 1900 there was a new plan to make a new capitel for the line Diest-Koersel, this was accepted. In 1904 the plans were made active.
Finance: 1.112.000 francs (state 561.000, province Brabant: 116.000, province Limburg: 164.000, local communities: 281.000).
