Capitel 108: Tongeren - Kortessem

From 1891 on there were plans to mak tram lines in the environment of Tongeren. But only in 1896 a plan was made for a line from Tongeren to Kortessem where a connection was made with the line Hasselt - Oreye (cap.81). First plans were to combine the capitals, but the local communities did not agree. So a new capitel was formed. It was accorded in 1901, the line was opened in 1904.
