Capitel 72: Haacht - Aarschot - Tielt - Tienen

In 1891 plans were made to make a tram line from Haacht to Aarschot and Tienen. In 1892 approval was given.
The section Aarschot-Tienen was opened in 1897 and 1898, the section Haacht-Aarschot some years later because of making a bridge over the river Dyle in Werchter.
Financing: 2.300.000 franc (state: 575.000, province Brabant: 575.000, local communities: 1.150.000)
