Capitel 69: Tongeren - Fexhe-le-Haut-Clocher

In 1886 there came plans to make a tram line from Tongeren to Jemeppe. But this was not allowed. Thn plans changed and plans came to make the line from Tongeren to Bierset. This was not accorded by the national governement because of competition with the railways. Then the plan was changed and a plan for a tram line from Tongeren to Fexhe-le-Haut-Clocher was approved. In 1893 the plans were definitive, the line was opened in 1897.
