Capitel 53: St.Truiden - Oreye - Ans

Ans - Oreye

In 1886 the first plans came through to create a tram line from Ans to Oreye. In 1889 allowance was given to to the SEGT to make the line, later the concession was given to AO. The line was opened in 1890.

Sint Truiden - Oreye

Plans for this line came in 1888, the line was opened in 1892

Finance: 864.000 franc (State: 216.000, province Limburg: 252.000, province Liège: 36.000, local communities: 357.000, private persons: 3.000)

Rocourt - Alleur

In 1931 plans came through to connect the line Sint-Truiden - Oreye - Ans with the line Liège - Tongeren. This short connection was opened in 1936.
