In may 2015 a European procedure was opened with the question to deliver the rolling stock. The company CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) in Spain did win this tender. The tram was built according to the type of URBOS, as was previously delivered by CAF to e.g. Stockholm, Birmingham, Nantes, Besançon and Zaragossa.
The first order was to deliver 9 trams. In 2017 this number was enlarged to 21, and in 2018 12 trams more were ordered. Below you can find a brief description of these trams:
